This event is part of Peak of the Bloom, a celebration of the art of nature, August 2-11 in The Grassroots District and Camp Creek State Park.

Note: because this is a wildlife area, there is no guarantee the flowers will be in bloom during this time. One year, the wildflowers were consumed by hungry deer. Though the sunflowers didn't survive, Camp Creek State Park and Forrest is a beautiful sight to behold at any time. The Peak of the Summer is a special time, and activities will highlight this natural beauty, with sunflowers or not!
