Picnic in the Park

Camp Creek State Park , 2390 Co Hwy 19/5, Camp Creek, WV

a lovely picnic in the beautiful Camp Creek State Park, catered by Bucha Brewhouse located in the Grassroots District. Live music will be provided by the lovely & talented Caeli Massey. Reservations are required; pre-order your picnic basket at peakofthebloom.com/picnic-pre-orders

Guided Photo Hike

Camp Creek State Park , 2390 Co Hwy 19/5, Camp Creek, WV

Award Winning Photographer Steve Jessee of Associated Photography will lead us on a guided photo exclusion through the beautiful and remote fields of wildflowers at Camp Creek State Park. Meet at Associated Photography at 813 Mercer Street at 1 p.m. or at Camp Creek State Park Amphitheater at 1:30 p.m.

Guided Plein Air Painting Experience

Camp Creek State Park

En plein air (French pronunciation: ​[ɑ̃ plɛn ɛːʁ], French for outdoors, or plein air painting) is the act of painting outdoors.

Artist Eric Thomson will lead a plein air painting workshop in the beautiful wildflower fields of Camp Creek State Park. No experience necessary. Cost to attend is $25. Easels, canvases and paint will be provided.

Meet at the amphitheater at Camp Creek at 3:30 p.m. for the ride to the fields.

Peak of the Bloom Live Music Showcase

The Room Upstairs , 865 Mercer Street , Princeton, WV

Local and regional musicians will give a live concert in The Room Upstairs in the Grassroots District of downtown Princeton. All are welcome to enjoy the show. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

Peak Of The Bloom Kickoff Reception

RiffRaff Art Boutique , 869 Mercer Street

Come meet and mingle with artists showing work in The RiffRaff Art Boutique in honor of POTB as well as business owners, presenters & community members who are involved in the inaugural celebration. Enjoy refreshments & company leading into the live music showcase in The Room Upstairs.

Flowers in the Park

Princeton Public Library

Master Naturalist Becky Kidwell will speak regarding the pollinator garden that she cultivated at the Princeton City Park and also about the flowers currently blooming in the park. The event is free and open to the public.

Daily Rides to the Fields of Wildflowers

Camp Creek State Park

Daily rides on the special wagon will be given at 9 a.m. during Peak of the Bloom Aug. 16-25. Maximum capacity is 18 persons, and you may call the park ahead of time to sign up at (304) 425-9481.
